Marathon 4 BedNets

JCI Dublin are going to run the Dublin Marathon on 27 October 2008 for a charity JCI project, “Nothing but Nets”.

“Nothing but Nets” is a programme to purchase malaria-preventing bug nets and distribute them to young children in endemic areas. Malaria is the number one killer of children in Africa. Bed nets are a preventive measure against Malaria, proven to decrease the chance of infection by about 90%. A bed bet is truly a live saving tool. One bed net costs just $10.
