The 73rd Colquhoun Dinner will take place in the Trades Hall, on Friday 5th February 2010, at 6pm for 6.30pm.
The evening will follow the traditional pattern beginning with an oration on “Glasgow 1910”, which will be delivered by the Chairman of Glasgow Junior Chamber of Commerce.
The principal Toast to “Our Illustrious Forebears” will be proposed by the Deputy Chairman, Richard Kerr, who will make particular reference to Mr Reo Stakis, the renowned hotelier and restaurateur who transformed the Glasgow dining scene into the vibrant and cosmopolitan experience we know today. Mr Donald Macdonald, Executive Chairman of the MacDonald Hotels Group and a close personal colleague of Mr. Stakis will respond to this toast.
The President of the Chamber of Commerce, Mr James Andrew, will then propose the Toast “The City and Commerce of Glasgow” and the Lord Provost of Glasgow will respond.
The ticket price for the dinner is £70.00
