JCI Dublin sweeps the boards at JCI Ireland National E Awards.

 JCI Dublin was successful in winning 8 national E awards at JCI Ireland’s national convention in Kilashee, Naas, Co Kildare. JCI Dublin was announced as the JCI Ireland Most Outstanding Branch of the Year 2008 at an exclusive awards ceremony in Naas on the 4th of October.
 

Kevin Guerin was also named as JCI Ireland Most Outstanding Local President of the Year, while Mark Kelly was named as Best National Officer of the Year. Michelle Daly was named as Most Outstanding Member of JCI Ireland 2008 on Saturday night.
The Spring Conference Project was winner of the Best Individual Development Programme. Kevin Guerin and Michelle Daly of the organising committee collected the gong on the night.

The JCI Dublin website then won Public Relations Programme of the Year; JCI Dublin also won Best Member Recruitment Programme 2008, for their work on an ongoing basis. Finally last but not least JCI Dublin also won Best UN Millennium Goals Development Project for the UN Millennium Goals Poster Competition which member Louise Walsh project led.

After wearing out the carpet between the JCI Dublin table and the stage all evening all members of JCI Dublin past and present were ushered up on stage to collect the premier award of the evening. JCI Dublin was named as the 2008 JCI Ireland Most Outstanding Branch. JCI Dublin were privileged to have past JCI Dublin President 2005 Kevin Gallagher and his wife Yvonne, Past President 2003 Ray Reilly, Past President 2006 Mark Kelly all on there on the night to help celebrate winning so many awards.

Other awards on the night included JCI Galway winning Best Community Development Project for the JCI Galway Tourist Guide. JCI Galway also won the award for Best Fundraising Programme 2008 for their DVD Horse Race project.

One other special moment on the night was when National president Catherine Laffey was presented with her Senator ship for her years of work with the organisation.

The new senator was delighted to receive the honour from World President Graham Hanlon on the night joining her husband Jeremy Doyle as a JCI Senator.

James Corcoran was elected as the Chairperson of the JCI Ireland Senate also on the 4th of October at the Senate Lunch organised as part of the National Convention.
