JCI Dublin and Down Syndrome Ireland

A large project for JCI Dublin this quarter was the Down Syndrome
Ireland Ice Cream Sunday which was held in Dundrum Shopping Centre on
Sunday the 17th of May. The chapter had no less than ten members and
prospective members volunteering for the charity on the day in
question. Two members from JCI Dun Laghoaire also were involved in the
fundraisng activity and it was a good opportunity for co-operation
between the two chapters. Patron of JCI Dublin, The Lord Mayor,
Councillor Eibhilin Bryne was on hand also to view the festivities and
members got to meet The Lord Mayor, who thanked them for their
volunteering work. Over €7,000 euro was collected by the tireless
members of the JCI Dublin team on the day. Down Syndrome Ireland are
currently appealing for individuals and families to host their own ice
cream party and to raise funds for the organisation. Contact
