JCI Presidents Day

This years’ JCI Presidents Day celebrations were hosted by the Dublin chapter of JCI, which indeed did a great job at providing a varied and interesting agenda. The meeting on 18th July 2009 gathered over 40 attendees in the lovely location of London College Dublin on Merrion Square. While the National Council had its meeting, all other attendees were guided through chosen pathways of Dublin by Laura Borlea, the Vice President of JCI Dublin, who impressed everybody with a concept of seeing ‘Dublin thru the eyes of an artist’. All present had an opportunity to improve their sketching skills which were later judged and recognized by Laura.

The next point in the agenda was a delicious lunch in the National Gallery which prepared everybody for training session with Fabio Grassi- Management Development Specialist at Irish Management Institute. Fabio prepared an inspiring workshop on Selling Yourself in Recession. He managed to convey the powerful message of how important it is to think of oneself as of a brand. Inspired by Fabio we moved on to training on fundraising organized by Anthony Moran (JCI Dublin) and Kevin Guerin- JCI Ireland Business Director.

Closing ceremony was initiated by Michelle Daly (the President of JCI Dublin) Agnieszka Legowik (JCI Dublin Communications Officer and Conference Director) who thanked all attendees and invited everybody to a BBQ organized by JCI Fingal. Moreover, the President of JCI Ireland- Orla Ryng thanked organizers and expressed sincere delight with the level of efficiency and organization presented by JCI Dublin. Testimonials from attendees of JCI Presidents Day will be available shortly on www.jcidublin.com
In recognition for their efforts we would like to mention the names of JCI Presidents Day Project team: Michelle Daly, Laura Borlea, Agnieszka Legowik, Louise Walsh, Emma Hickley & Christophe Lascor. Everybody on the team put so much effort into getting the day perfect. Also we want to particularly thank our trainers, Laura Borlea, Fabio Grazi and Anthony Moran, with Kevin Guerin who really put so much time, effort, research and preparation into the event.
